A Celebration of West Virginia Folk Music Traditions
The history of West Virginia’s rich folk music traditions is documented in collections held by WVU Libraries' West Virginia & Regional History Center. At this Mountaineer Week event, taking place in the Mountainlair in the Gluck Theater at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, scholars will shine a light on the performers of the past who maintained these traditions, and musicians will provide a musical performance to bring folk songs to life.
This event and the West Virginia Folk Music digital collection are supported by the West Virginia Humanities Council.
