An Introduction to Research Data Management In-Person

Research Data Management is the process of organizing, documenting, sharing and preserving the data this is generated through the course of a research project. In this workhop, you will learn about best practices for managing your data efficiently, which will help to ensure that your data is well documented, reusable, organized, stored, and preserved. You will also learn about the benfits of sharing your data, and the WVU libraries can help you develop Data Management Plans (DMPs) for funding proposals.

We will understand data broadly to include any items of recorded information that are used for reference or analysis. The workshop is designed to benefit and accomodate researchers at all levels, and from all disciplines.
